Tennis superstars Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic laid wreaths at the Erawan Shrine in Bangkok, Friday. The shrine was the site of a bomb attack that left 20 people dead and over 100 injured on August 17. Nadal and Djokovic arrived in Bangkok on Thursday to participate in a highly anticipated exhibition match. Djokovic is the currently ranked number one in the world by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), while Nadal is the former world number one. The Bangkok bombing was the worst attack of its kind in Thai history. Fourteen foreigners were killed in the explosion and the incident had a damaging effect on Thailand's tourism industry. Thai authorities are investigating the bombing and two suspects are currently in police custody. A motive for the attack is still unknown.
