At least six people were injured in the Indonesian city of Medan in North Sumatra on Wednesday, after a suicide bomber blew himself up outside the local police headquarters.
The blast took place shortly before 9:00 (02:00 GMT). According to the police, the assailant detonated his explosives in a car park, which was packed with people queueing for clearance letters from the police.
Four police officers and two civilians were injured in the blast. The suspected assailant died in the attack.
Authorities believe that the attacker was a 'lone wolf'; however, they are still investigating whether he had links to any militant groups. The motive for the attack is yet to be determined.
