Russia: Grand Duke Nikolai Romanov Jr. reburied at Bratsk Military Cemetery

The remains of the Grand Duke Nicholas Nickolayevich Jr. and his wife, the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nickolayevna were buried in the ‘Chapel of the Transfiguration of Our Lord’ in the Bratsk military cemetery in Moscow on Thursday. The decision for the reburial was made at the request of relatives of the Grand Duke. A farewell ceremony was held at the ‘Cathedral of Saint Louis’ in Paris before the remains were delivered to Moscow on April 27. The Grand Duke Nicholas Nicholayevich was a cousin of Emperor Nicholas II. He served as Supreme Commander of the Russian army during the first year of World War I.
