SOT, Dan Mulkerrin, Tottenham fan: "Yes, I'm just gutted. I'm just gutted what's happened with him, you know. I thought he'd done well after last season where he took us to the final of the Champions League. I thought he deserved longer, more of a chance, you know?"

SOT, Aziz Kemal, Tottenham fan: "I think it was the right appointment because Mourinho, like you said, he's a born winner, he's one of the best managers in the world right now, even though he's a bit of a diva, but at the same time his records just prove that he is the best and Tottenham never had a big manager like that before."

SOT, Aziz Kemal, Tottenham fan: "I want our mentality to change as a club. I want us to be more ruthless, more hated, if you want to call it. I just us to be a big team."

SOT, Ellie, Tottenham fan: "He's an enigma. It's difficult, because he's the biggest thing that has happened to this club really and truly. I mean, he's Jose Mourinho, top three managers ever, but at the same time, he's quite difficult in the media, in publications, press conferences, so it's how the Spurs fans and the players will handle it."

SOT, Ellie, Tottenham fan: "Time will tell. I don't think so because at the end of the day you're only as good as your last job and he got sacked. And then coming into United, he got sacked as well. So we'll see. Time will tell."

We're always going to be here as fans and you've just got to hope that Mourinho can re, he's, you know, get what he does, he's known for winning trophies and we need that to get us to the next step."

Tottenham fans reacted to Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho's appointment as the new head coach on Wednesday outside the club's brand-new London stadium.
Mourinho, 56, takes over from the outgoing Mauricio Pochettino who was sacked following a string of poor performances this season, despite taking the club to the 2019 Champions League final just six months ago.
The move by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has split opinion, with some seeing Mourinho has a born "winner" and others finding his "enigma" hard to stomach.
"Even though he's a bit of a diva, but at the same time his records just prove that he is the best and Tottenham never had a big manager like that before," sad Spurs fan Aziz.
Another noted Mourinho's "difficult" approach to the media.
Tottenham sit 14th in the table after 12 games despite Pochettino being backed heavily in the summer transfer window. Rumours of dressing room unrest have also blighted Spurs since the beginning of the season.
Either way, fans will be hoping the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager will be able to reverse Spurs' fortunes and restore their place in the Top Four.
