Emergency services are still attempting to control a fire at an oil depot in Kalynivka, near Kiev, Tuesday. The blaze, which started on Monday night when a series of oil tanks caught fire and exploded, has already killed at least four people, injuring 14 others including seven rescue workers. Reports now indicate that it is spreading in the the direction of a Ukrainian military unit. 180 firefighters are now trying to prevent the fire from reaching the unit, which is positioned nearby. The cause of the blaze is currently unknown. In total seventeen oil tanks caught fire at the BRSM-Nafta facility at Kalynivka, just 20 km (12.5 miles) southwest of Kiev and the blaze currently remains out of control with several other gas storage tanks on the site still at risk of exploding. Some 62 firefighting units are currently involved in the operation along with three trains, which are being used to deliver equipment and water supplies to the area.
