Pentagon: Military Accidentally Shipped Live Anthrax Samples

The Pentagon announced it accidentally shipped live anthrax samples to laboratories in as many as nine sates.
After the admission, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Wednesday it will investigate the shipments to government and private labs. One lab overseas can also expect to receive dead spores.
CDC spokeswoman Kathy Harben reassured people that they don't see any risk to the public.
According to Pentagon spokesman Steve Warren, a Utah army facility shipped the spores using a commercial delivery service.
He added, live anthrax spores may also have been sent to labs in as many as eight other states.
