Bidding Adieu to the Famous Paris Love Locks

Au revoir, mes petites.
After approximately 45 tons of padlocks damaged the Pont Des Arts bridge, Paris began to bid adieu to its famous love locks on Monday — and with them, years of lovers' memories. City workers cut hundreds of thousands of the tiny locks from the iron grillwork on the sides of the bridge. They used a crane and wheeled dollies away, completely filled with the signed trinkets. Soon, clear plexiglass will replace the grills on the bridge.
But though the locks may be gone, the keys will still rest forever in the River Seine below. One American tourist is not at all happy about the removal of the locks.
