SOT, Khader Habib, a leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (Arabic): "Israel commits this big crime and says it does not want to escalate. We, in the Islamic Jihad movement, say that this crime will not pass without punishment and a harsh response, and the biggest loser of this crime is Netanyahu. God willing. We are going after him and the Mujahideen will [give] this Zionist entity a high price, God willing."

SOT, Omar Foura, a leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (Arabic): "Israel's message behind the assassination of Baha Abu al-Atta and the assassination of the martyr Akram Al-Ajouri in Syria is you want to tell all the leaders and all the Palestinian people that no one is out of our hands. But we tell them that the assassination of leaders and martyrs, will supply thousands of leaders and that this blood demands blood."

Thousands of mourners carried the bodies of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) commander Bahaa Abu Al-Ata and his wife during their funeral in Gaza City on Tuesday, after they were killed in an Israeli airstrike earlier in the day.
The funeral started at the Shifa Hospital, and continued to the Omari Grand Mosque in the centre of the city. A number of local leaders attended the funeral, amid high tensions in light of the commander's death.
"We in the Islamic Jihad movement say that this crime will not pass without punishment and a harsh response, and the biggest loser of this crime is Netanyahu, God willing," warned Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Khader Habib.
"Blood demands blood," said another Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader, Omar Foura.
The strike reportedly took place minutes before an Israeli strike against the residence of Islamic Jihad deputy chief Akram al-Ajouri killed two in Damascus, Syria. It is unclear as of yet whether al-Ajouri is among the killed or wounded.
