Apple Watch Gets Its First Update

The Apple Watch is getting a tiny software update, even as many users are still waiting for the company's first wearable to arrive at their doorsteps. Version 1.01 showed up early Tuesday afternoon on the Apple Watch utility app on the iPhone. It promises bug fixes and performance improvements. More specifically, the update will polish Siri, standing activity measurement, some calorie measurements and distance measurement in the Workout app, accessibility options and third-party apps. The last should come as welcome news for anyone who has found some of the non-Apple Apple Watch app performance wanting. The update also adds support for the newest emoji characters and some additional languages.
