China will begin building their part of the Russian-Chinese joint pipeline project 'Power of Siberia' by the end of June, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller announced during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Monday. The contract was signed by the parties at the end of May 2014 and involves the supply of Russian gas to China at amounts of 38 billion cubic metres a year, for a period of 30 years. According to Miller, "the demand for Russian gas is growing" everywhere, with a rising trend compared to 2014. The Gazprom head also mentioned that Germany, which is one of Russia's primary customers, bought 68 percent more gas, compared to the previous year.
