Jeb Bush praised German Chancellor Angel Merkel's "efforts to be clear about sanctions as it relates to Russia" at the Wirtschaftstag 2015 (Economic Day) event in Berlin, Tuesday. Speaking of the Ukraine conflict Bush warned that if Russia's "aggression goes unanswered" the current international order may be affected. The presidential hopeful also spoke of the importance of military strength, as Iran "continues to support terrorism." Bush also spoke of deterring "the kind of aggression that we fear from Russia," stating that he thinks it would be best to be clear "of what the consequences of bad behaviour are in advance." "Russia will do as it pleases" if NATO does not continue to show its presence in Europe, the Florida Governor and presidential candidate added. He also spoke about maintaining "military strength and credibility" at a time when "Iran stands on the threshold of a becoming nuclear armed state."
