SOT, General Christopher Cavoli, European Commander of US Army: "And we are unloading the first brigade of Defender 20, which is an exercise that we have planned with our allies to practice and to rehearse the deployment of large numbers of American soldiers with equipment, to link up with our allies - in this case - 18 different allied nations in Europe. And then to proceed to exercises throughout the continent."

The US showed off its military equipment ahead of the 'Defender Europe 20' military exercise on Friday the port of Bremerhaven.
M1A1 Combat tanks, Bradley APC and Mine trawls could be seen rolling out of the ARC Endurance carrier, as the first offloading of 20,000 pieces of equipment shipped over from the US to Germany began.
Senior officers from the US, German and British armies all spoke of their excitement of "the biggest deployment in 25 years" for the "collective defence scenario," according to Lieutenant General Martin Schelleis, German commander of joint support service.
Both the British and American armies highlighted how much they've "rehearsed," before beginning the military exercises throughout Europe. The equipment joined 234 US soldiers who arrived in Hamburg by plane on Friday morning.
Some 37,000 troops from 11 countries will participate in the exercises, according to the US military. The main activities will take place in April and May across 10 countries, among them Poland and the Baltic states. Around 20,000 pieces of equipment will additionally be shipped from five American seaports.
