Forensic officers began to investigate the crime scene where a man was shot dead by a hooded suspect, in Zaandam, north of Amsterdam, Tuesday. The shooting took place at 12.00 CEST (10.00 GMT) in the vicinity of two schools. The suspect is thought to have used an AK-47 assault rifle, after a picture of the attack, showing both the suspect and the victim, was shared on the internet. The victim, Lucas Bloom, 43, was sentenced to up to five years for cocaine trafficking in 2014, according to local media, though he was released later on appeal. Bloom reportedly has links to career criminal Willem Holleeder, who is notorious for the 1983 kidnapping and ransom of Freddy Heineken, the former CEO of the brewing company 'Heineken International.'
