Russia: Relatives of crash victims grieve at Pulkovo airport

Relatives of the victims of Kogalymavia flight 7K9268 that crashed in Egypt, grieved at Pulkovo International Airport outside St Petersburg, Saturday. Dozens of people have been heading to the airport where the plane was due to land to discover news about their loved ones. A centre to help relatives of the passengers has been set up on site. One of the relatives told journalists at the airport that he "had a bad dream" tonight. His children returned earlier and he was waiting for his wife who had to arrive. Earlier, President Vladimir Putin released a statement offering his condolences to the families of the victims of the crash and declaring that Sunday would be a day of mourning across the country. Kogalymavia flight 7K9268 is reported to have crashed in Sinai around 23 minutes after take-off. There were a total of 224 people on board - 217 passengers, including 17 children, and seven crew members. Reports indicate that all but three passengers, who are purportedly Ukrainian, were Russian.
