USA: Candlelight vigil held in memory of slain Walter Scott

Around 60 Black Lives Matter activists held a candlelight vigil outside North Charleston City Hall, Friday, to commemorate Walter Scott on the evening before his funeral. Local citizens shared their stories on their interactions with police and ideas on how the authorities can improve communication with society. The killing of Walter Scott occurred on Saturday in North Charleston and gained national media attention after a video of the shooting went public on Tuesday. Police have since released dashcam footage of Scott running away from his car and officer after he was pulled over. Michael Slager, the officer who shot Scott, has been charged for murder.
