SOT, Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid manager (Spanish): "This is football. We've won many things but that's the past. I know where I am, I know my position, I know the current situation and we're all working hard, that's why we have done really well today on the pitch, and I'm happy. The players have done a great effort and they deserve the victory, we all do, for what we've done today."

SOT, Fatih Terim, Galatasaray manager (Turkish): "We took every opportunity there was against Real Madrid. But in the end we weren't successful, and consequently we lost. To win, I say it again, it's like this for every team, but especially for teams like [Real] Madrid and Paris [Saint-Germain], you must score. You can rise up, be more reactive with the morale given by the goal, the confidence given by the goal and the score advantage. But if it is the exact opposite, it is trouble and we experienced that today."

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane credited his players for a potentially career-saving win over Galastasary in Group A of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Tonis Kroos' deflected was enough to earn Real their first Champions League victory of the season in a febrile Istanbul atmosphere, easing the pressure on the manager.
Zidane acknowledged the "current situation" after a sluggish start to the season, most recently a 1-0 loss to Mallorca. He then thanked the "great effort" of the players for the win.
Galatasaray continued their poor run of form in the Champions League, having not won in eight games. Manager Fatih Terim blamed his side's failure to score, despite multiple chances.
