The tide of acceptance and inclusion is rising in professional sports, and Major League Baseball--the bastion of open-minded thinking that it is--has just welcomed its first amphibious pitcher to its storied ranks.
At least, that's true if you read the East Oregonian. The newspaper recently printed a delightful typo in the headline of an article about Oakland A's pitcher Pat Venditte, who throws ambidextrously from the mound.
He pitches righty, lefty — and evidently, also underwater.
Pretty awesome — but not as awesome as seeing an amphibious pitcher take the mound.
