Finland's centrist prime minister-elect says he wants the populist Finns Party in a new three-member ruling coalition, the first time the anti-bailouts party would be in the government.
Center Party leader Juha Sipila, tasked with forming a majority government after his party's election victory last month, says he also wants the conservatives to join the talks on forming "a strong coalition" that would implement difficult reforms during the current recession.
The Finns Party, which wants Greece out of the eurozone and restrictions on immigration, won the second most votes in the April 17 election, ahead of the conservative National Coalition Party, which led the previous government.
Sipila said Thursday he will begin coalition talks on Friday, hoping to announce a new government by the end of the month.
