French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe concluded a four-day visit to China, as he met with the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Beijing on Monday, to sign bilateral agreements between France and China and to end a decade-long ban on French beef.
There was a receiving ceremony held in honour of the French Prime Minister Philippe on his first official four-day visit to China. Philippe visited Shenzhen and Shanghai before arriving to Beijing.
The French Prime Minister expressed his contentment over the fact that "China has confirmed her strong willingness to finalise the commitments made in January regarding the Airbus acquisitions," and as to the fact that the ban on French beef has been lifted.
On his part, the Chinese Premier said China is "still willing to strengthen cooperation with France's Airbus."
A total of 18 agreements were signed between the two nations in the sectors of medicine, science, tourism and nuclear energy, as well as a deal regarding lifting the ban China imposed over a decade ago on French beef.
