The Serbian national team managed to secure a 2:1 win over Montenegro in Belgrade on Saturday, as part of the UEFA League of Nations. The managers of both teams held press conferences in the aftermath of the match.
Montenegrin manager Ljubisa Tumbakovic remained positive despite the loss, saying they managed to 'correct the impression' with their display in the second half, when they managed to score.
"The first half had a positive dimension for some 20 minutes. But our concept was completely shattered by those two goals we submitted in such a short time span, and it was difficult to put ourselves back together until halftime," he said.
His Serbian counterpart, Mladen Krstajic, was satisfied with the performance of his side, remarking that he wished they managed to close the match earlier.
“We missed a penalty, and we had two or three good chances and which we should have exploited,” Krstajic said.
