SOT, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd musician: "But they had nothing to do with any judicial procedure, it was wheels within wheels, it was the powers that be putting pressure on the Swedish government, who put pressure on prosecution service who put pressure on the police, the whole thing is a complete bogus set-up. And it is in partially in consequence to that bogus set-up, that Julian Assange is in prison still today in Belmarsh."
SOT, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd musician: " What did those men die for, wasn’t something to do with freedom and judicial process and the law? The law is being thrown out the window at the behest of the growing mono-empire that is the United States of America and it is so wrong, and it will the death of all of us if we don’t come together and stop it. The first thing to do will be to free Julian Assange from his up calling predicament in Belmarsh prison now." *GLITCH AT SOURCE*
SOT, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd musician: "It’s extremely unlikely that a process of law will be followed, and he is quite right, there is no process of law has been followed at the moment, somebody banned up in Belmarsh for 23 hours out of every 24, being slowly murdered by the state, because he told uncomfortable truths about war crimes commented by the United States of America. It’s purely political, this is a political prisoner, there is no question about it, there is no ifs or buts, that what is going on. He has been hung out to dry as a warning to others, others who might decide that they might be journalists, they might fulfil their function as journalists by informing the public and the electorate of what’s goes secretly in their name."
SOT, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd musician: "Let him go he has done nothing wrong in any same universe he would be lauded as a hero of the people."

Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters criticised the Swedish prosecutors who launched a rape investigation into WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange while speaking via Skype from New York City to RT on Wednesday.
Waters mentioned that the US government was putting pressure on the Swedish government, and said that evidence against Assange is a “complete bogus set-up”.
The British rock ‘n’ roll bass player went on saying that “the law is being thrown out the window at the behest of the growing mono-empire that is the United States of America.”
Waters condemned the detention conditions of Assange, saying that he was being held in Belmarsh for “23 hours out of every 24, being slowly murdered by the state, because he told uncomfortable truths about war crimes commented by the United States of America. It’s purely political, this is a political prisoner, there is no question about it.”
Assange has repeatedly denied the allegations against him made in 2010, and spent seven years inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid extradition to Sweden due to fears of being subsequently extradited to the United States where he faces conspiracy and espionage charges related to the publication of classified military and diplomatic documents in 2010.
British police arrested the WikiLeaks co-founder at the Ecuadorian embassy in April, and was sentenced to 50 weeks in jail for breaching his bail conditions. Assange still faces extradition to the United States, the hearing for which will take place at Belmarsh Court in February.
On Tuesday, prosecutors in Sweden announced that dropped the investigation into allegations of rape against Assange.
