Former Yahoo Exec Joins Billion-Dollar Indian Marketplace Startup

Former Yahoo executive Anand Chandrasekaran is leaving India's largest mobile operator, Bharti Airtel, after just 13 months.
Mashable has learned that Chandrasekaran will join Snapdeal.
Chandrasekaran confirmed his departure from the business to Re/code in May but did not specify where he was headed.
The New Delhi-based Snapdeal has quickly become one of India's largest consumer Internet companies in the five years since it was founded.
The company most recently raised $627 million last fall at a $1 billion-plus valuation, joining a crowded group of tech startups with stratospheric valuations, including Snapchat, Uber, and Airbnb.
