Russian Foreign Minister met President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik on the side-lines of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Friday. Lavrov said the discussions would concentrate on what he what he called the "surge of ethnic nationalism with terrorist activity" seen in the Balkans. He specifically cited incidents in Dvornik and Macedonia, while reiterating Moscow's full support for the Dayton Agreement - The General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Milorad Dodik remarked that the situation was difficult and was becoming "more complicated in the whole region, including Bosnia and Herzegovina." The Republika Srpska is one of two states within Bosnia and Herzegovina's borders. The other is the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Republika Srpska is separated into two regions by a self-governing district, called the Brcko District.
