805 Million People are Still Experiencing Hunger Worldwide

The fight against hunger — the " world's most solvable problem " — is far from over. While the number of people suffering from hunger across the globe has seen a dramatic decline over the past two decades, and international food prices are falling , there are still 805 million people who cannot lead a healthy life due to lack of food. The majority of hungry people live in Asia, while Africa has the highest prevalence. Experts estimate that $30 billion would end world hunger, and that's compared to the $165 billion worth of food we waste in the U.S. every year.
