Israelis of Ethiopian Origin Protest Police Violence in Jerusalem

A demonstration by Israeli Jews of Ethiopian origin against police brutality turned violent on Thursday, with police using water cannons to keep angry crowds away from the prime minister's residence. The Magen David Adom ambulance services says, at least 13 people were injured and two police officers and five protesters were taken to hospital. Israel's community of Ethiopian Jews numbers about 120,000, out of a population of over 8 million.
