SOT, Angela Merkel, German Chancellor (German): "Great Britain's exit from the European Union is challenging for us. And the aviation industry is a very sensitive instrument. When there are trade tensions you can almost immediately feel it here in Leipzig. That is why I will discuss with Great Britain's Foreign Minister how we can achieve a friction-free Brexit, when he comes visiting me later as we must fight for economic growth."

"Great Britain's exit from the European Union is challenging for us.
Johnson's visit to Germany is his first foreign trip as Prime Minister. It's expected to be dominated by the Brexit issue.
