A 21-year-old Irish woman who sustained serious injuries in the deadly Berkeley balcony collapse last week has said she intends to live a fulfilling life to honor those who died in the June 16 incident.
Survivor Clodagh Cogley, who is studying psychology at Trinity College Dublin, says the chances of her using her legs again are "pretty bleak." She sustained a collapsed lungs, broken shoulder, broken knee, five broken ribs and a broken spinal cord in the fall.
Writing that she intends to give her rehabilitation at a centre in San Francisco everything that she's got, Cogley says: "Who knows maybe legs have been holding me back all these years and I'll realize my talent for wheelchair basketball."
