SOT, Paolo Sgroppo, Bologna Airport Operations Director: "We use the 'follow me' supercar to bring the aircraft on its parking after landing, in the same time we use the older 'follow me' car that we have but in a more surprising way for those travelling in the motor valley."

Aircraft landing at Bologna airport are treated to an unconventional sight on the runaway as they are met by a 'follow me' Lamborghini Huracan as footage on Thursday shows.
The Italian airport uses the rear-wheel driven Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 to guide planes to the runway and help them take off. The car has a V10 engine and can achieve 0-62mph (0-99kmh) in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of almost 200mph (321kmh).
A total of five special 'follow me' cars have been in operation since 2013. Each are equipped with a set of flashing lights, warning signs, and a radio linked to the airport control tower. The low body of the supercar allows it to slip beneath the wings and bodies of planes on the ground and each driver wears a branded Lamborghini uniform.
The Italian supercar manufacturer is based just a few kilometres away from the airport in the town of Sant'Agata Bolognese in the heart of Italy's motor valley, an area famous for its carmakers.
