Russia: Putin talks Syria after receiving credentials from new ambassadors

Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed 19 newly appointed foreign ambassadors and received the credentials in the Saint Alexander Hall, Moscow, on Wednesday.
In his speech Putin stated that “Russia is ready to cooperate with all countries in the spirit of honest and mutually beneficial partnership,” adding that Russia supports “the enhancement of equal and indivisible security, the resolution of global and regional problems, settling conflicts on the firm basis of international law and the UN Charter.”
Addressing the Syrian conflict, the Russian president said “the only way to stop bloodshed, provide for the return of millions of refugees, and restore economy and social area of that country” was through political means.
Putin received the ambassadors from 19 countries, including New Zealand, Burundi Republic, Greece, Republic of Colombia, Mali, Montenegro, Federal Republic of Somalia, Chad, Islamic Republic of Gambia, Duchy of Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Finland, Iceland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Poland, Equatorial Guinea and Turkmenistan.
