Hundreds rallied on Dam Square in Amsterdam on Sunday in solidarity with the people of Greece who are suffering from a long-running debt crisis. Protesters held placards and banners and waved Greek flags as they heard an address from Syriza politician Manolis Glezos. Following the rally, protesters proceeded to march through the city centre. The Greek government and its three lenders - the IMF, the European Union and the European Central Bank (ECB) - are currently in deadlock over the last installation of €7.2 billion ($8.1bn) of rescue funds, the release of which contingent upon further cuts - according to Greek negotiators, who reject further austerity.
