17 Dead, 11 Still Missing After Severe Storms in Texas and Oklahoma

The search continues for about a dozen people still missing in Central Texas, including a group that disappeared after a vacation home was swept down a river and slammed into a bridge.
Several more fatalities were reported throughout the day on Tuesday, including four in Houston and four more in Central Texas. Among them: A homecoming queen returning from prom, a young boy walking his dog and a kayaker overcome by water released by a dam.
That brought to 17 the number of people killed by the holiday weekend storms in Texas and Oklahoma, which brought severe winds, rain, flash floods and the occasional tornado to the region.
