UK: Farage and Galloway rail at Brexit deal as Cameron strikes EU agreement

Leader of UK Independence Party Nigel Farage and surprise guest and former Member of UK Parliament George Galloway hit out at British Prime Minister David Cameron’s new deal with EU officials preventing the UK's so-called Brexit from the EU during a Grassroots Out rally in Westminster on Friday.
Farage hit out at the British leader's deal during the conference which calls for the UK to leave the economic union, saying “what has happened over the last 48 hours is the British Prime Minister has gone to meet 27 other heads of state, and frankly given an impression of Oliver Twist by saying please gentlemen, can I have some more concessions.” The UKIP leader added that "this deal that he’s done does not address the fundamental issues that the British people care about.”
Surprise guest Galloway, while stressing his political differences from Farage, stated that they stood united against the UK being in EU.
David Cameron announced that EU officials agreed a deal to keep Britain within the EU following talks in Brussels, earlier on Friday. The new settlement makes key adjustments to areas including the UK’s further political integration into the EU, its fiscal decentralisation from Brussels, UK benefits for migrants, and its financial ties to the EU. Despite reaching the agreement the UK is still expected to hold an in/out referendum on the country's EU membership before 2017.
