This is their responsibility and their obligation. We are always there and we have never left the table. For a long time we have been asking for this negotiation process for a political resolution to the political conflict. Today it is more urgent than ever." *NO CUTAWAYS AT SOURCE* *JUMPCUT AT SOURCE*
SOT, Quim Torra, President of Catalonia (Catalan): "The defence of rights and freedoms must be expressed peacefully as always, we ask everyone to do so. Violence has never been, nor will it ever be our flag in Barcelona, Tarragona, Girona or Lleida. Nor in any of the 947 municipalities of our country. We make a joint call for responsibility in the next calls on behalf of all mayors. No form of violence represents us. Democracy and the exercise of rights and freedoms represent us." *NO CUTAWAYS AT SOURCE* *JUMPCUT AT SOURCE*
