The family of Jean Charles de Menezes, who was gunned down by police ten years ago, held a vigil outside Stockwell Tube Station in London, Wednesday. The vigil was conducted by Asad Rehman, from 'Justice 4 Jean Familiy Campaign. Menezes' cousin, Vivian Figueredo, spoke to the media, stressing that Jean Charles was innocent and that the people who killed are still yet to be prosecuted. Brazilian electrician Jean Charles de Menezes was shot seven times in the head and once in the shoulder by London metropolitan police on 22th July, 2005, after he was wrongly identified as one of the fugitives involved in failed bomb attempts that had taken place the previous day. The incident took place two weeks after the London bombings of 7 July 2005, in which 52 people died.
