USA: Trump supporters and critics face off ahead of Costa Mesa rally

Hundreds of supporters and opponents of the Republican presidential candidate Donald faced off outside the Orange County (OC) Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, Thursday, where Trump was holding a rally.
The anti-Trump protesters held placards "Dump Trump" and "Make AmeriKKKa Mexico again" and chanted slogans. Several hundred police officers were deployed to separate the two protesting groups.
Later on Thursday, clashes erupted between the protesters and police officers. Some 17 protesters were arrested and at least one was injured, according to reports. Police blocked traffic after protesters stormed several streets near the fairgrounds where Trump spoke.
Republican primary front-runner Trump currently has 994 delegates; he still needs to attain 1,237 delegates to garner enough support for the presidential nomination at July's Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
