A number of 20 people suspected of belonging to the Islamic group, Hizb ut-Tahrir, were detained by the Russian police, in Moscow, Tuesday, accused for recruiting terrorists, providing financial assistance to terrorists and holding banned literature. According to interior ministry officials, during a Russian Interior Ministry's statement on economic security and countering corruption operation, the police forces searched a number of 24 different spots and checked 97 people, 20 out of them, mostly of central Asian origin, were detained for having strong connections with the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL). The Islamic Party of Liberation is mostly known as the Hizb ut-Tahrir is a prohibited organisation in Russia.
