US Special Representative for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, addressed the press in Seoul, on Wednesday, stating that the US was prepared to "restart" denuclearisation talks with North Korea.
"We are prepared to engage as soon as we hear from our counterparts in North Korea," added the diplomat.
Biegun was accompanied by his South Korean counterpart Lee Do-hoon, as the two had a meeting a day after the two countries' regular military drills.
The US diplomat denied allegations of him assuming a US ambassador position in Russia, and reassured that he was going to work hard to implement the commitments made by US President Donald Trump and North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un.
