At least 45 people were killed and 20 injured in a gun attack on a bus in Karachi, Wednesday. Local police reported that six gunmen on motorcycles stopped the bus and began firing at its passengers. Initial reports from witnesses and the relatives of victims state that the attackers were dressed as policemen. Around 60 people were aboard the bus when it was stopped on its way to an Ismaili Shia place of worship. Emergency service vehicles and personnel rushed to the scene of the attack, as friends and relatives of the victims began to receive the news. Islamic State leaflets were left at the scene of the attack, claiming that the self-proclaimed Islamic State was responsible. However, a spokesperson for the Jundallah group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
