W/S Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei giving lecture, Tehran
SOT, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iranian Supreme Leader (Farsi): "Negotiation with America means the imposition of US' demands on the Islamic Republic of Iran, and secondly, negotiation means the success of America's maximum pressure policy. Because of this, you saw that president [Hassan Rouhani], Foreign Minister [Mohammad Javad Zarif], and the country's authorities all mentioned that they would not negotiate with the US. Neither bilateral negotiation nor multilateral negotiation." *MULTIPLE SHOTS AT SOURCE*
W/S Audience *CUTAWAY*
SOT, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iranian Supreme Leader (Farsi): "If the US takes back its word and repents and returns to the nuclear deal it violated, then it can join other JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] parties' talks with Iran. Otherwise, there will be no negotiation at any level between Iranian and American officials, neither in a New York trip nor elsewhere, and it was also clarified both by the President and the foreign ministry."

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ruled out both bilateral and multilateral negotiations with the US, during a lecture in Tehran on Tuesday.
"Negotiation with America means the imposition of US' demands on the Islamic Republic of Iran, and secondly, negotiation means the success of America's maximum pressure policy," said Khamenei.
He added that the condition for talks to resume is that the US "takes back its word and repents and returns to the nuclear deal it violated, then it can join other JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] parties' talks with Iran."
Tensions between the United States and Iran have been escalating since Iran announced in May that it would partially withdraw from JCPOA, the nuclear deal which the Obama administration, Iran and the European Union signed in 2015. The Trump administration withdrew from the deal in May 2018, re-imposing sanctions on Iran.
