Apple Pledges to Go 'Green' in China

Apple announced Monday it is expanding its clean energy and environmental protection initiatives in China, including striking a forest conservation partnership with a prominent environmental group, and a goal of running 100% of its manufacturing facilities only on renewable energy. Apple's manufacturing centers in China have come under the media spotlight for poor labor and environmental practices in the past. Apple will partner with the World Wildlife Fund for five years to protect up to 1 million acres of "responsibly managed working forests."
