A body of an African man was found after a fire broke out late on Monday in a shelter for refugees in a small town of Saalfeld in Thuringia. Police say the victim was a 29-year-old refugee from Eritrea. The other asylum seekers left a three-storey dormitory unharmed. The cause of the blaze and the cause of death are not yet known. The local police have launched an investigation. Recently, two suspected arson attacks have occurred in Thuringia, one of them about 70 kilometres (43 miles) away from Saalfeld. Earlier on Sunday, another refugee shelter in the town of Freimar, in Thuringia, was burnt down. The 10 asylum seekers living in the building were forced to evacuate and have been transferred to temporary accommodation by local authorities. Local police announced that there were no injuries.
