Greece: Life around Evzoni refugee camp continues despite eviction rumours

Some 1,600 refugees who have organised a makeshift camp around the Hotel Hara in Evzoni, continue their lives on Sunday, despite the rumours that the police will start evicting the camp residents within the next 24 hours.
The asylum seekers have been provided with food and water by the volunteers, who were seen dancing with some of the children in the camp. Earlier last week, Greek Alternate Minister of Public Order, Nikos Toskas announced that the new makeshift camps will be evicted in the coming days.
Over the past few months, a sprawling expanse of tents near the Greek border town of Idomeni was hosting thousands of refugees until the local police began clearing it last Tuesday. According to reports, the camp was already cleared by Thursday.
