Russian Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev arrived in Stuttgart for a working visit on Tuesday, making his first appearance at the city's Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The Russian minister, together with the governors of several Russian regions, conducted a meeting with entrepreneurs from the federal states of Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria.
"Our objective is to set up bridges which goods, capitals, people and ideas will pass by bringing wealth to all the sides, creating opportunities for a better future", said Ulyukaev. He added that "we are now living through not the easiest time. The trade turnover has been declining for the second straight year. However this indicator dropped less in comparison with Germany as a whole or the EU as a whole."
Trade between Russia and Germany, prospects of the joint investment projects and strengthening cooperation between Russian and German entrepreneurs under the conditions of the ongoing sanctions against Moscow are expected to top the agenda of Ulyukaev's working visit.
