Thousands of people gathered at the National Mall in Washington D.C., Saturday, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. The event started in the morning and finished with Minister Louis Farrakhan’s speech, which lasted for more than two hours. In the speech, Farrakhan discussed racism in the country while also addressing accusations he was involved in the assassination of Malcolm X. The Nation of Islam leader urged the FBI to open up all files connected to the assassination so "people (can) see what really happened to Brother Malcolm." The initial Million Man March was a mass gathering of African-Americans in Washington D.C. on October 16, 1995, with 837,000 people attending the rally.
