Russia: Putin discusses economic stabilisation with Security Council in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with permanent members of Russia's Security Council in Moscow, Friday, to discuss steps to stabilise the nation's economy.
The talks were also concentrated on the preparations for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) that is due to start on June 16.
The participants of the meeting also discussed contacts with delegation heads of foreign countries and large foreign investors, who have confirmed their participation in SPIEF. The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi are scheduled to attend the forum.
During Friday's meeting, the president was joined by Prime Minister Medvedev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the State Duma Speaker Naryshkin and Defence Minister Shoigu among others.
