France: Police pin-up orders for all shops in Calais refugee camp to close

Police put up notices around the Calais refugee camp on Monday, detailing that all shops in the camp are to be closed within 48-hours. The move is part of the planned-closure of the camp, which has been commonly referred to as 'The Jungle.'
A local court opposed the decision to close the camp on Thursday, claiming there were no concrete and long-term plans to house the migrants; despite this the French government has decided to continue with the camp's closure.
The construction of a fence in Calais, intended to prevent people from the refugee camp from attempting to board UK-bound lorries, got underway earlier in the day.
Around 7,000 refugees and migrants are currently residing in the makeshift camp, according to humanitarian group estimations.
