SOT, Eduardo Belliboni, Polo Obrero trade unionist (Spanish): "I have my whole face full of gases, I am very affected by that and we want to put some order in all this, talk to the head of the operation to stop the repression to organise the mobilisation that we are organising and the demonstration that we are doing."

SOT, Eduardo Belliboni, Polo Obrero trade unionist (Spanish): "We have received a huge amount of hits from many colleagues. [This is] an indiscriminate repression that has nothing to do with responding to a social protest."

SOT, Marta Gonzalez, protester (Spanish): "We were holding the flag and the police came, it came closer and threw tear gas at us. We have no sticks, we did not throw stones, nothing. They came, hit us with the shields and threw gases at us."

SOT, Marta Gonzalez, protester (Spanish): "Everyone knows that the situation is critical. The government is bringing a collective hatred to this situation right now. We are all poor. I am qualified, but I do not get work even with qualification. I am 45 years old and I cannot get work."

Clashes broke out between police officers and demonstrators at an anti-government march in Buenos Aires on Thursday.
The group are demanding the implementation of a national food emergency scheme, back payment of salaries and the reinstatement of previously fired state employees, among other measures.
Riot police used shields, batons and pepper spray to prevent protesters from setting up camp outside the Social Development Ministry in Plaza de Mayo.
"We have received a huge amount of hits from many colleagues an indiscriminate repression that has nothing to do with responding to a social protest", said trade unionist Belliboni.
Argentina is currently facing its highest inflation rate since 1991, with the most vulnerable sectors of society expected to bear the brunt of the price rises.
