SCRIPT
In the Arctic Ocean two Russian nuclear icebreakers Taymyr and Vaygach were seen in the frozen waters illuminating up the ice around them.
The drone footage was filmed by Russia’s nuclear agency Rosatom near the port of Sabetta in January, showing the icebreakers almost touching one another with all of their lights on.
The icebreakers usually meet up as a routine procedure, in order to exchange supplies and crew in their long missions.
The two icebreakers were built in 1989 for the Soviet Union, with an overall length of nearly 150 metres (490 ft), the sisters icebreakers supposed to maintain operational capability at −50 °C (−122 °F).
