A Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) commander, Bahaa Abu Al-Ata, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip early on Tuesday, with both the IDF and the group confirming the report.
Footage shows the aftermath of the attack, with Gaza City residents gathering near what's reported to be al-Ata's damaged residence. Baha Abu Al-Ata was the head of the Al-Quds Brigades in Gaza, the armed wing of the PIJ.
Footage also shows an elementary school near Al-Ata's home that was also damaged by the airstrike. Al-Ata's wife was also reportedly killed in the attack.
The strike reportedly took place minutes before an Israeli strike against the residence of Islamic Jihad deputy chief Akram al-Ajouri killed two in Damascus. It is unclear as of yet whether al-Ajouri is among the killed or wounded.
