Russia: Patriarch Kirill inaugurates Holy Fire during Orthodox Easter Mass

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia inaugurated the Holy Fire from Jerusalem during the Orthodox Easter service in Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Saviour on Saturday. The fire's presence in Moscow is part of the international "Peace for Jerusalem" project. The Holy Fire has been brought to Moscow and dozens of other Russian cities with the help of a delegation of Russia's St. Andrew The First-Called Foundation, headed by president of the Russian Railways company Vladimir Yakunin. The fire arrived at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport from Jerusalem earlier on Saturday after being transported in a special box, similar to the one used to transport the Olympic torch.
